TRAINING COURSE FOR THE CERTIFICATION OF MYCOLOGIST

The qualification of mycologist was introduced by Presidential Decree (D.P.R.) 376/1995 and is governed by Ministerial Decree (D.M.) of 29 November 1996, No. 686 of the Ministry of Health. This regulation establishes that the activity of identification and control of epigeous mushrooms, carried out within public or private institutions, is reserved for individuals holding a mycologist certificate.

Objective

The training program is aimed at obtaining the qualification to practice as a mycologist. Upon completion of the course, subject to passing the final examination, a diploma is awarded and the professional’s name is entered into the National Register of Mycologists as well as the relevant Regional Register, with the assignment of an identification number.
This qualification enables the holder to carry out professional activities within public and private institutions, in accordance with the competencies defined by the applicable regulations.
